Established in 1963, Dibru College is the premier institution of higher learning in Dibrugarh with three full fledged streams – Arts, Science and Commerce to provide an excellent ambience to nurture young minds to develop academic progression and excellence. We live in an era where the quality of higher education is measured in terms of ranking and accreditation by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and status like Centre of Potential for Excellence (CPE), Centre of Excellence (CoE) and Institution of Eminence (IoE), We proudly announce that our college is accredited with ‘A’grade by NAAC (CGPA - 3.07) in 2017 thus becoming the only college in Dibrugarh and Tinsukia district to be awarded with this prestigious grade. Right now, we are marching towards 3rd cycle of accreditation with more vigour and dynamism.

From the academic session 2019-20 the Choice Bases credit System (CBCS) has been implemented by the Dibrugarh University to Under-Graduate programme. The CBCS offers platform to the students to develop inter-disciplinary approach in understanding knowledge through cross-disciplinary methods. Students always inspire and surprise me. It is my duty to ensure that Dibru College remains for the students. They are the harbingers of Dibru College. I am fortunate to be in the position where I can listen to  solve the challenges that our students face and make this learning experience just a little more valuable.We need to realise that changes is the only constant to thrive in the present day situation but we are so resistant to change. If we don’t embrace the change, then the dinosaur is a striking example of what may happen to us one day. We need to constantly update ourselves to maintain high standards of this institution and disseminate education and knowledge to the future achievers of the nation. Students now increasingly see colleges as the main means of securing their future employment rather than simply learning and self development. The employability and the student experience are more critical than it has ever been. We confidently assure our students that we are able to provide the best possible modern experience that they now take for granted.
